German skater Paul Fentz has left many Oasis fans split during his performance at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
When performing this past weekend, Fentz used a jazz version of “Wonderwall,” one of the Gallagher brothers’ biggest hits. The cover was recorded by Paul Anka.
Unsurprisingly, the reactions of fans on social networks were well divided. You can check out some excerpts from the presentation just below, as well as an older video of a Fentz performance using the music in another tournament.
This was the first edition of the Olympics where participants could use song lyrics in their presentations. In addition to Wonderwall, athletes used songs such as Benjamin Clementine’s “Nemesis,” “Christina Perri’s” A Thousand Years, “and Ed Sheeran’s” Make It Rain. ”
