Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian would like a AC/DC album with Axl Rose on vocals. The revelation was made in an interview with the radio program Sixx Sense, commanded by Nikki Sixx (Sixx: A.M., Ex-Mötley Crüe).
“I hope they make a record. I know that Axl is a big fan of AC / DC and even when he was singing with them, as far as I knew, Angus Young was letting Axl choose, like: ‘what you do you want to play?’”.
Ian was pleased with what he saw of “Axl/DC” when he watched them at Madison Square Garden following the “Rock Or Bust” tour. “They played so many things on the ‘Powerage’ album that I had never heard live, like ‘Rock n’ Roll Damnation’,’Riff Raff’,such cool songs. , I’m never going to another show, that was the best.”

With Anthrax, Scott Ian recorded a version for “TNT” recently. And yet during the interview, he highlighted the great mistake of metal guitarists playing AC / DC covers.
“I hate it when people are doing AC / DC covers with a high gain and distortion timbre.” It’s wrong. You’re not listening. If you think of AC / DC, it’s wrong. It’s a clean sound. They have one of the cleaner timbres of all time. They are not metal, they are a rock and roll band, “he said.
