Saxon announce new 2023 tour dates

Saxon continues their “Seize The Day” world tour in 2023 and announced new dates for North America, South America and Europe. They will perform in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Luxembourrg, Germany, Poland, Austria and more.

The group released in 2022 a new album called Carpe Diem, produced by the band’s vocalist Biff Byford and the Judas Priest touring guitarist and producer Andy Sneap.

The band is currently formed by Biff Byford (Vocals), Paul Quinn (Guitar), Nigel Glockler (Drums), Nibbs Carter (Bass) and Doug Scaratt (Guitar).

The band’s vocalist talked in an official statement about the new tour dates on their Youtube Channel (Transcribed by Rock and Roll Garage), saying: “I’ve got some news for you, we put some new shows in Europe in March. We’re gonna comeback there, we hadn’t played enough shows in Germany because of the availability and few restrictions. So we gonna comeback and do some more shows.”

Saxon was formed in 1975 in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England and became one of the most famous bands of the so called New Wave Of The British Heavy Metal. Since their debut album in 1979, they have released 23 studio records and 11 live albums. Some of the most famous ones are: “Wheels of Steel” (1980), “Strong Arm of the Law” (1980), “Denim and Leather”  (1981) and “Destiny” (1988).
