Roger Waters says to Trump: “Hands Off Venezuela”

Roger Waters used social networks to call for an end to what he calls a “Trump coup in Venezuela.” The former Pink Floyd responds to the position of US President Donald Trump, who believes that sending US military troops to Venezuela “is an option.” It is recalled that the United States government recognizes the opponent of Nicolás Maduro, Juan Guaidó, as interim president of Venezuela, after his self-proclamation.

Nicolás Maduro Moros is a Venezuelan politician who served as the 46th President of Venezuela since 2013 and previously served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2013 and as Vice President of Venezuela from 2012 to 2013 under President Hugo Chávez. The country has a dictatorship disguised as a democracy. Millions of citizens are getting out of the country due poverty and hunger.

Roger Waters stated:

A note from Roger:

THIS IS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

STOP THIS LATEST USG INSANITY, LEAVE THE VENEZUELAN PEOPLE ALONE. THEY HAVE A REAL DEMOCRACY, STOP TRYING TO DESTROY IT SO THE 1% CAN PLUNDER THEIR OIL.

US HANDS OFF #VENEZUELA! #NICOLASMADURO #STOPTRUMPSCOUPINVENEZUELA

Like Chávez, Maduro has been accused of authoritarian leadership,[29] with mainstream media describing him as a dictator, especially following the suspension of the recall movement that was directed towards him.

Following the 2017 Venezuelan Constituent Assembly election, the United States sanctioned Maduro, freezing his U.S. assets and prohibited him from entering the country, stating that he was a “dictator”.

The majority of nations in the Americas and the Western world also refused to recognize the Constituent Assembly and the validity of his 2018 reelection, initiating their own sanctions against him and his administration as well, although allies such as China, Cuba, Iran, Russia and Turkey offered support and denounced the interference in Venezuela’s domestic affairs.
