The Who guitarist and main songwriter Pete Townshend said recently that the band will be active in 2025 but while they don’t announce any live shows, the group’s vocalist Roger Daltrey already revealed his first solo shows for next year. He announced shows next April and May in the United Kingdom. The concerts will happen in Brighton Dome, London, Southend-On-Sea, University of Wolverhampton, Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Gateshead and Manchester.
Like his previous tours, the musician will probably compose a setlist with solo career songs, The Who songs and even a few covers. During his shows in the United States in 2024, for example, he even covered Creedence Clearwater Revival.

As he told Billboard in 2024, he believes that the internet ruined live concerts because there are no surprises anymore. He said that people search and watch videos of the shows and see the setlist before they go see a band.
“I’m not gonna talk about songs. Too many people reveal songs. There’s no surprises left with concerts these days, ’cause everybody wants to see the setlist. I’m f–king sick of it. The Internet ruined the live shows for me. Who wants to know what’s coming next? People forget about surprises. I can’t stand it,” Roger Daltrey said.
During the same conversation, he also said that now at the age of 80, he won’t scream in the middle of “Won’t Get Fooled Again” anymore. Instead, he will make the audience do that scream, so he can focus on singing.
