After 15 years the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher are together again and millions of fans worldwide are more than happy that they will get the chance to see Oasis live again or even a new album from them.

However, The Who’s co-founder, guitarist and main songwriter Pete Townshend is not glad the band returned. He said that he really likes the solo careers of Liam and Noel, that’s why he is not happy they are together again.

Pete Townshend says he is not happy with Oasis reunion

The musician said that in an interview with Standard. “I feel completely comfortable with everything that’s happening in the music industry now, even when it’s unjust… because I predicted it”.

“Well, I’m disappointed (With Oasis reunion). Because you didn’t get a ticket? No, because I really like their solo albums”.

He is a good friend of the Gallagher brothers and Noel once performed with The Who on stage. The Who’s current drummer, Zak Starkey, son of Ringo Starr, was a member of Oasis before joining Townshend’s band.

The musician recently said that The Who might be active in 2025 and he had also said that he would like to do a farewell tour alongside his bandmate Roger Daltrey.

As for Oasis, the band continues to sell thousands of tickets for their upcoming shows. So far they announced concerts in Europe, Canada, United States, Mexico and Australia.
