Bassist Nikki Sixx pointed out in an interview with Metal Hammer that Mötley Crüe came to an unfriendly end. The band ended it’s activities in the transition from 2015 to 2016, after a long farewell tour.
When asked if he keeps in touch with his former bandmates, Nikki Sixx replied, “Well, it’s been a while since I’ve seen them. The band really did not end up so friendly.”
The musician suggested the possible reason for the disagreement. “I’ve always been the kind of person who wants to create art, and there are musicians who do not want to make records anymore, because they do not make money from them, I do not understand that attitude and I think some Mötley guys have a different idea of me about it”, he said.
Despite this, Sixx is grateful for his career and even for the way Mötley left the scene. “You know, ending our career playing ‘Home Sweet Home’ at Staples Center in our hometown. It’s an unbelievable way out,” he said.
Asked if he misses Mötley Crüe’s “fast days,” Sixx replied, “I think it was an incredible day, but I have a lot more going on in my life now than looking back and trying to recreate that would be a little sad.”
