In 2027, Metallica will continue promoting their latest album, “72 Seasons” (2023), and have just announced their first tour dates, which will take place in May and June in the United States and Canada with Limp Bizkit and Avatar as opening acts.
The band’s line-up is the same with James Hetfield (Vocals and rhythm guitar), Kirk Hammett (Lead guitar), Lars Ulrich (Drums) and Rob Trujillo (Bass). It is expected that the band plays in South America next year since they haven’t been there after the release of their latest record.

As always, a portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will go to local charities via Metallica’s foundation, All Within My Hands. Established in 2017 as a way to give back to communities that have supported the band over the years, All Within My Hands has raised over $20 million, providing $19 million in grants to career and technical education programs, including the ground-breaking Metallica Scholars Initiative, now in its eighth year, over $8.8 million to combat food insecurity, and more than $6.2 million to disaster relief efforts and other critical local services worldwide.
They have been the biggest heavy metal band in the world for decades since they are currently the only band in the genre that can really fill football stadiums all over the world.
