The legendary Thrash Metal band Megadeth launches its own cryptocurrency, the “$MEGA”, becoming probably the first famous band to do something like that.
Megadeth talked about the coin in an official statement:
“$MEGA is the official cryptocurrency of Megadeth and our community. By buying, holding, and transacting with $MEGA, fans will gain access to exclusives and premium benefits.”

New album
The band leader, guitarist and singer Dave Mustaine recently revealed that Megadeth’s new album “The Sick, The Dying And the Dead” is tentatively set to be released in the spring of 2022.
