The legendary Grand Funk Railroad co-founder, guitarist and singer Mark Farner will release his long-awaited album “Closer To My Home” next November 8. Besides original tracks, there is a new version of the title-track, which was originally recorded with Grank Funk 55 years ago. You can hear snippets of the songs here.

Mark Farner talked about the new album, saying: “These songs are honest and from my heart. The collaboration with Jim (Peterik) and Mark (Slaughter) came from a place of trust and that makes the whole experience so much more rewarding as songwriters.”

“The audience can feel that and these songs reflect those very human moments that you can’t find creating a song from a computer. ‘Closer to My Home’ comes from the idea that love is at the heart of all that I do, and music is my home.”
