Living Colour’s guitarist Vernon Reid announces solo album

The Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid announced a new solo album called “Hoodoo Telemetry”, which will be out next October 3 via Artone/The Players Club Records. The first single “The Haunting” is already available.

“I’m thrilled to share that this is the first single off my new album, Hoodoo Telemetry, which releases on October 3rd,” he said.

Besides his extensive work with Living Colour, Reid has also collaborated over the years with names like Mick Jagger, Tracy Chapman, Whitney Houston, Jack Bruce, and Public Enemy. He was listed multiple times among the greatest guitarists of all time on the lists made by Rolling Stone magazine.

He has a wide-range of musical influences which come from Heavy Metal, Punk, R&B, Funk and Jazz. Although Living Colour is an American band, Reid was actually born in London, England back in 1958.

His first solo record “Mistaken Identity” was released in 1996, the second “Known Unknown” in 2004 and “Other True Self” in 2006. Living Colour’s most recent studio album is “Shade”, released in 2017.
