As previously announced, a new album by Jimi Hendrix will be released with thirteen tracks recorded between January 1968 and February 1970.
Both Sides of the Sky will finalize the trilogy of unpublished songs of the guitarist. Valleys of Neptune was released in 2010 and People, Hell and Angels in 2013. The new album will have the same sound engineer from the other two, Eddie Kramer, who has worked on all of Hendrix’s projects since his death.
As part of the release of the new work, the track “Mannish Boy”, a cover of Muddy Waters was made available to the public.
Both Sides of the Sky will be released on March 9 by Sony Legacy Recordings in various formats: CD, digital and a double 180 gram vinyl.

The album features appearances by Stephen Stills, Johnny Winter, and Lonnie Youngblood and includes 10 studio tracks that have never seen release.
