Judas Priest was formed in Birmingham, England back in 1969 but their classic line-up was together only in 1974 when they started a successful recording career, releasing the debut “Rocka Rolla” (1974). From then on with classic albums like “British Steel” (1980), they became one of the biggest Heavy Metal bands in the world, being an inspiration for countless artists worldwide. Halford left the band in 1992 and returned in 2003. These days only him and bassist Ian Hill are classic members in the band, since Glenn Tipton had to retire due to Parkinson’s disease, playing with the band only on special occasions.
So far they have released 19 studio albums and 6 live records. They have sold an estimated amount of more than 50 million records worldwide, 12 million only in the United States.
