Journey’s Neal Schon undergoes emergency surgery

Guitarist Neal Schon (Journey) underwent emergency surgery to remove the gallbladder on Saturday, Feb. 9. The operation took place at the Marin General Hospital in Greenbrae, California, under the watchful eye of James G. Minnis, MD.

The rocker, who is scheduled to launch his “Journey Through Time” tour later this month, wrote on Twitter today: “I had to go to the emergency room the day before because I had an infection that was removed, how could it be better ? ” “I need a few days, apparently I’ve had this for the last 3 ½ years and I did not know I thought they were parasites, I’m feeling better than ever! See you soon, friends! ”

Journey Through Time will bring Schon to the stage with JOURNEY and SANTANA’s founder and keyboardist Gregg Rolie, former drummer Deen Castronovo, bassist Marco Mendoza (THE DEAD DAISIES and THIN LIZZY), Chris Collins and super-producer Marti Frederiksen (multi-instrumentalist, vocal).

After a warm-up show at the Jackson Rancheria Casino in Jackson, California on February 22 and the official opening night of the Fox Theater tour in Oakland, California on February 23, the musicians will perform at The Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona. March 1, and at The Orpheum in Los Angeles, California, on March 2.

The 2018 US tour with DEF LEPPARD grossed $ 97.1 million from 1,003,198 tickets sold, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. The walk included 56 dates in the United States, plus two shows in Canada.
