The legendary keyboardist Rick Wakeman released “The Jezero Crater”, the first single of his upcoming album “Return to the Red Planet”. The album is a sequel to “The Red Planet”, record released by him in 2020.
“This album explores the planet’s ancient lakes, vast canyon systems, shifting dust storms and geological epochs, drawing directly on the remarkable images and research that have transformed our understanding of Mars in recent years. Once I started looking at the new data and photographs, I realised there was an entirely new album waiting to be written. There was simply too much more to say about Mars — musically and spiritually — not to return,” he said.
One interesting thing about the new album is that it features a song called “Bowie’s Vision.” Wakeman was the pianist who played on David Bowie‘s hit “Life on Mars?”
