Greta Van Fleet releases new song “Farewell For Now”

Greta Van Fleet released “Farewell For Now”, the new single of their upcoming album “Starcatcher” that will be out next July 21. It will be their third complete album, since their most recent one “The Battle at Garden’s Gate” was released in 2021.

“In Farewell For Now we express the sentiment of our longing to stay on stage & savor the magic created by the audience-music phenomena. But we must pack up, & go to the next place to do it all over again; as always, we’ll be back soon,” Bassist Sam Kiszka said.

The group is formed by Josh Kiszka (Vocals), Jake Kiszka (Guitar), Sam Kiszka (Bass) and Danny Wagner (Drums).

“Farewell For Now” lyrics

“We have shared with you our stories
Had ourselves a really big time
Fought in battles far from the homeland
Made love, even drank from the wine

And I wish we all could stay
But I bid you a farewell
And it means the world to play
But I bid you a farewell

Friends how’ve come so far to join us
We hope you come and join us again
Friends how’ve come to sing in the chorus
You floor us, we will sing till the end

And I wish we all could stay
But I bid you a farewell
And it means the world to play
But I bid you a farewell

And I wish we all could stay
But I bid you a farewell
And it means the world to play
But I bid you a farewell

We gathered here tonight
Did it up just right
And it’s all for you

We gathered here tonight
Did it up just right
And it’s all for you

We gathered here tonight
Did it up just right
And it’s all for you”
