Ghost releases greatest hits album with rare track “Zenith”

Ghost released the greatest hits album compilation album called “13 Commandments” which features the track “Zenith” previously unreleased on streaming services, having been released only on th expanded re-released version of the 2015 album “Meliora”.

With 13 tracks, the record has tracks from all the band’s career, including their Grammy nominated version for Iron Maiden’s “Phantom Of The Opera”.

About the new record, Ghost said: “We wish to inform you that these times call for a divine compilation of some of Ghost’s most sinful psalms and the most observant shall find the wider release of Ghost’s cult tune “Zenith.” Ghost’s 13 Commandments: so let it be written, so let it be done…. Listen now everywhere.”

In 2022 Ghost released “Impera” their fifth studio album and in 2023 the covers EP “Phantomine” that features versions from classic Iron Maiden, Genesis and Tina Turner tracks.

The band was formed in Linköping, Sweden in 2006 by Tobias Forge, which has been the mastermind behind the group compositions and the only constant member. Their first album “Opus Eponymus” was released in 2010 and since then they released four more records: “Infestissumam” (2013), “Meliora” (2015), “Prequelle” (2018) and “Impera” (2022).

They also had released many successful singles and EPs like “If You Have Ghost” (2013), “Popestar” (2016), “Seven Inches of Satanic Panic” (2019) and “Phantomine” (2023). They finished their Re-Imperator tour in 2023, which had shows in Europe, North America, Australia and South America. There are no scheduled tour dates for 2024 and Tobias Forge said he was already writing for their next album.
