The legendary Black Sabbath co-founder, bassist and main lyricist Geezer Butler played “War Pigs” with “Jack Sabbath”, featuring Jack Black on vocals with the teenage musicians: Roman Morello (Guitar) – son of RATM’s Tom Morello, Revel Ian (Bass) – son of Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, Yoyoka Soma (Drums) – Japanese drumming prodigy and Hugo Weis (Keyboards).
Without Geezer, they performed “The Wizard” and once again “Mr. Crowley”, which they had previously recorded for the final Sabbath and Ozzy show last year. The performance was part of the Power to the People Festival, organized by Tom Morello as a protest against Donald Trump’s government.

Besides being Sabbath bass player on all their most successful albums, Butler also was the band’s main lyricist during the time he was a member. He is the one responsible for the lyrics of most of the successful tracks released when Ozzy Osbourne was the frontman. During the Dio era, he divided the lyric writing with Ronnie, who was also a lyricist.
Were also part of the festival bands and artists like Dropkick Murphys, Joan Baez, Bruce Springsteen, Stephen Stills, Dave Grohl, Dave Matthews, Scott Ian, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Serj Tankian, Mike McCready, Taylor Momsen and Matt Cameron. The festival happened last Saturday, October 4 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.
