Don McLean announces farewell tour dates in UK and Ireland

Don McLean 2027

American singer, songwriter and guitarist Don McLean will celebrate his 81st birthday next October and is currently on his farewell tour. He is playing across the United States this year and next year he will cross the Atlantic to play his final shows in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The musician will perform in Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and Gateshead before finishing the tour at the historic Royal Albert Hall in London, where he played for the first time in the UK, 55 years ago.

“I love these audiences. They have kept me going for 55 years and given me a career I could not have had anywhere else. A troubadour has to make his farewells somewhere, and I would rather choose the place myself. The Albert Hall was the first room that ever felt like it belonged to me, and it seems right that it should be the last.”

Rafael Polcaro: I'm a Brazilian journalist who always loved Classic Rock and Heavy Metal music. That passion inspired me to create Rock and Roll Garage over 9 years ago. Music has always been a part of my life, helping me through tough times and being a support to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist, I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After graduating in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, I pursued a postgraduate degree in digital communication at the same institution. The studies and experience in the field helped me improve the website and always bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
