The legendary Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler is on a new supergroup called Deadland Ritual that has the guitarist Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), ex-Guns N’ Roses and The Cult drummer Matt Sorum and Apocalyptica’s vocalist Franky Perez.

The band will perform live on June 22 on the 2019’s Hellfest in Clisson, France, in the same day as KISS, Def Leppard and Whitesnake.

Last year, Geezer told Rolling Stone he had “about 120 riffs written down” for his next musical project, adding he just needed “to pick a guitarist and sort through them.”

You can check out a sample of music from the band below:

Earlier this year, when Black Sabbath came to an end, Geezer Butler had revealed his upcoming plans. At the time, he said he wanted to write an autobiography and make a solo album. Butler apparently changed his mind about solo career and opted to remain in a band.
