Bruce Springsteen revealed in an interview with Rolling Stone that he already finished one album and is currently working on another one. This year the musician released the strong single “Street of Minneapolis”, which is a protest song in response to the fatal shootings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti by the federal imigration agents during Operation Metro Surge in the city. All the proceeds from the song went to support the families affected by the enforcement actions.
Bruce Springsteen says he is working on two new albums
“I’m currently working on a couple of records. I did finish one, and it is done. I’m in the process of working on this other one, which, because of the nature of the material, felt like it should come out first. So that’s the situation I’m in. I’m trying to finish that up, and I’d like to release that first. And then this other record that I made, which is not time-relevant, it can come out at any time and it’ll work.” Asked if they were E Street Band or solo records, he said: ‘It’s a surprise”.
Bruce Springsteen played across the United States this year with the E Street Band and guitarist Tom Morello on the Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour. At the time he talked about the tour, saying:“We are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times, but do not despair — the cavalry is coming! Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be taking the stage this spring from Minneapolis to California to Texas to Washington, D.C. for the Land of Hope And Dreams American Tour.”
