Organized by the virtuoso guitarist Joe Satriani since 1996, the G3 tour always feature him and more guitarists on tour performing instrumental tracks. The last time the project was on the road was in 2018 but Satriani announced it will return in 2024 and this time he will be accompanied by Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. Curiously, the first line-up of the G3 project in 1996 featured the exact same guitarists. "Reuniting the original ‘G3’ line up is a dream come true for me.
