After 50 years on the road, Kiss made the last show of their career last saturday December 2, 2023 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the same city where they got together in 1973. Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer won't tour as Kiss anymore, at least in the real world. Right after the show came to an end, the band revealed their "new era" as digital characters. The ideia is that the virtual version of the band can tour around the world non-stop forever. According to the band members that would allow Kiss to for example playing in anywhere they wanted at the same time. There are no tour dates planned yet or was clear if the shows would involve a live band as for example Ronnie James Dio's hologram tour had. Kiss was formed in New York City in 1973 by Gene Simmons (Bass and vocals), Paul Stanley (Guitar and vocals), Peter Criss (Drums and vocals) and Ace Frehley (Guitar and vocals). The only two members of the group who were in the band since their inception were Paul and Gene. During their career they released 20 studio albums and became one of the best-selling bands of all time. The group have sold an estimated amount of more than 100 million records worldwide. Gene and Paul didn't revealed if they will now continue as solo acts or will also retire from touring and music.
