I've Got a Feeling is a song by The Beatles written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon that comes at the junction of two unfinished songs: McCartney's "I've Got a Feeling" and Lennon's "Everbody Had a Hard Year." The guitar riff was taken from "Watching Rainbows," another unfinished song by Lennon. It was originally planned to be called Get Back. The songs "Let It Be" and "Get Back" were released as singles in the UK, but in versions different from those found in the album. "The Long and Winding Road" was released as a single in the US. In 1969, Paul McCartney had the idea of recording the album and documentary Get Back intended to be a "return to the roots". McCartney was keen to see the Beatles playing live again, an idea that did not appeal to the rest of the band, especially George Harrison who even stated that he was leaving the band. John Lennon did not care much about threatening to call Eric Clapton to his place, but McCartney did not agree because he thought the Beatles would always be four and no one else. In common agreement they decided to record an album as if it were live, as was done on the Beatles' first album, Please Please Me. Hear more Great Forgotten Songs
