Kiss bassist and vocalist Gene Simmons is about to release his new book called 27: The Legend and Mythology of The 27 Club. The book promises to deconstruct and question what makes rich and famous musicians destroy themselves at such a young age. The 27 Club has been acquiring new members for decades. From Jimi Hendrix to Janis Joplin, from Kurt Coban to Amy Winehouse. "Frances Beans, daughter of Kurt Cobain is my son's friend. 'Hey, it's really cool that your dad dies on drugs while you're still a baby.' No, it's not. It sucks, "Simmons said in an interview with Wrif 101.1 FM. Read what he said next: "You'd be shocked at how deep and mysterious this is. But again, it is not the idea that it is 27 years, although we ask the question: 'Why then? Why not at 28? Why not 30? Is it really when you become rich and famous and when everyone admires you, that makes people destroy themselves to death? What is it? The rest of the world loves you, your fans love you and give you money, fame, all of that, and then you kill yourself. I dont understand". The book 27: The Legend And Mythology Of The 27 Club will be released on August 14 by PowerHouse Books. See more News
