Mötley Crüe will eternalize it’s history in the world of cinema with the adaptation of his biography The Dirt - Confessions Of The World's Most Notorious Rock Band. The project will be directed by Jeff Tremaine (Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa) and distributed by Netflix and his recordings started later this month. During a recent interview, vocalist Vince Neil revealed that the script for the feature is very close to what the book tells. "If you've read 'The Dirt,' you need to watch the movie," he says. Douglas Booth and Machine Gun Kelly have already been confirmed in the adaptation. They will play Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee, respectively. Iwan Rheon, known for his role as Ramsay Bolton in Game Of Thrones, will be guitarist Mick Mars while, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Daniel Webber will play frontman Vince Neil. The biography The Dirt - Confessions Of The World's Most Notorious Rock Band was originally released in 2001 and its adaptation has been coveted since 2003. After many changes in the team, it seems that finally the project will leave the role with the band members themselves as co- producers. The book tells the whole story of Mötley Crüe with drugs, alcohol and love affairs. The band was founded in 1981 and has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. In 2014 they close down the activities when all members signed a contract where none of them could use the band name commercially in the future.
