Jason Bonham, drummer, son of the legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, had to change the name of his band “Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience” to “Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening”, due to what it seems, a direct order from Led Zeppelin. Bonham told KSHE 95 that the band had plans to use "Led Zeppelin Experience" in a campaign marking its 50th anniversary this year. Read what he said: “I was like, ‘Um, okay, but I need to keep the logo, JBLZE. One, I have the tag on my car, and two, I have a huge backdrop that I paid for last year. For me it’s about the music. So the name of it — I just wanted to keep the logo. So I said, ‘I got it. Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening.’ I don’t know what they have planned, but I said, ‘Okay, I will clear the way so they can do what they wish.’” Zeppelin has been talking about some big projects ahead for the celebration for the band’s 50th anniversary. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant talked about the possibilities. Until now, the only celebration is the reissue of the 2003 live album “How the West Was Won” and a hardcover book. More projects can be announced soon, but the plans about what "Led Zeppelin Experience" can mean are not clear yet. Jason Bonham Bonham started using the name to tour back in 2010, touring with his band and performing Led Zeppelin songs. He also played with Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson when they performed "Stairway to Heaven". He's also a member of Black Country Communion and Sammy Hagar's group the Circle. See more News
