After almost a decade, David Gilmour is finally releasing a new studio album "Luck and Strange" and also announced his first tour dates to promote the record. The first shows announced are in the United Kingdom, Italy and United States next September, October and November. All the six shows announced will happen at the historical Royal Albert Hall in London next October. As Gilmour said in a video posted on his social media, it is his favorite British venue. "I'm coming to the Albert Hall early October this year to play in my favorite venue, certainly my favorite venue in England. It always has such a wonderful atmosphere, beautiful place, sounds great too," David Gilmour said. More dates can be announced soon, especially in the United States. Besides Gilmour, also played on the album bassists Guy Pratt and Tom Herbert, drummers Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao. On keyboards, the album had Rob Gentry and Roger Eno, while Will Gardner took care of the choral arrangements. The title-track also features the late Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright, using a recording of a jam session which happened in a barn at Gilmour’s house back in 2007.
