Four years after releasing their album “Power Up” and a few months after making their first shows in years, AC/DC finally announced a tour to promote the record and celebrate their legacy. It’s their first tour in eight years and so far they have scheduled shows in Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Belgium, France and Ireland. The band announced that the American band The Pretty Reckless will be their opening act on all European tour dates.
But soon more dates might be announced and there is an expectation that they will perform at the famous Brazilian festival Rock In Rio.
Besides Brian Johnson and Angus Young, the tour line-up is formed by Stevie Young (Guitar), Matt Laug (Drums) and Chris Chaney (Bass). The longtime bassist Cliff Williams joined the band for their performance at Power Trip Festival last year but had already announced his retirement a few years ago.
“The tour will see us play shows across Germany, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, England, Slovakia, Belgium, France & Ireland this Summer. We can’t wait to see you all out there,” the band said in an official statement.
