Electric Light Orchestra, or simply ELO, was formed in Birmingham, England back in 1970 and became one of the best-selling and most influential bands of all time. They have sold an estimated amount of more than 50 million records worldwide and were really innovative making Rock music mixed with many other unusual instruments for the music genre, like violins, cellos, string basses and horns. Nowadays, the band is called Jeff Lynne’s ELO, since he is the only remaining original member of the group and the musician announced the group’s farewell tour called “The Over and Out Tour”.
Until now the band announced 27 dates in the United States next August, September and October but obviously, new tour dates might be announced soon for other continents.

Electric Light Orchestra released 15 studio albums during their career, the final one credited as a band was “Zoom” (2001). The most recent ones, which were credited as Jeff Lynne’s ELO are “Alone In The Universe” (2015) and “From Out Of Nowhere” (2019).
Lynne is also known for his extensive work as producer, having co-produced artists like George Harrison, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. With those three artists and Bob Dylan, he was a member of the supergroup Traveling Wilburys.
