Alice Cooper releases Bob Seger cover

Alice Cooper Bob Seger

Lead singer Alice Cooper released the first song of his upcoming EP, ‘Breadcrumbs’. The track, titled ‘East Side Story’, is a cover of Bob Seger. The compact goes public on Friday (September 13) through earMUSIC.

‘Breadcrumbs’ is described as a “tribute to garage rock heroes” from his hometown of Detroit, United States. In addition to the ‘East Side Story’ version, there are covers of ‘Sister Anne’ (MC5), ‘Your Mamma Won’t Like Me’ (Suzi Quatro) and ‘Devil With A Blue Dress’ (Mitch Ryder And The Detroit Wheels).

The EP draws attention for bringing musicians from other bands to appearances. These are: guitarist Wayne Kramer (MC5), jazz singer Paul Randolph, vocalist and guitarist Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), drummer Johnny “Bee” Badanjek (former Detroit Wheels) and vocalist and guitarist Mick Collins .

‘Breadcrumbs’ will be released on limited vinyl with only 20,000 copies plus digital formats. The material should be succeeded, in 2020, by another unpublished album.
