Aerosmith postpones tour dates due to Steven Tyler’s vocal chords

Aerosmith is currently on their farewell tour called “Peace Out” and had already made three concerts, which were in Philadelphia (PA), Pittsburgh (PA) and Elmont (NY). But now the band announced the postponement of a few dates because Steven Tyler damaged his vocal chords.

The shows in Detroit (MI), Chicago (IL), Washington (DC), Toronto (ON), Raleigh (NC) and Cleveland (OH) were rescheduled for January and February 2024.

Aerosmith is currently on the road with the classic members: Joe Perry (Guitar), Steven Tyler (Vocals), Tom Hamilton (Bass) and Brad Whitford (Guitar), who are accompanied by their longtime drum tech John Douglas.

“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days. I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve,” Steven Tyler said.

  • Monday Feb 26 2024 – Raleigh. NC – PNC Arena
  • Thursday Feb 29 2024 – Cleveland, OH – Rocket Mortgage Field House

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend. Fans with questions regarding refunds are asked to reach out to their point of purchase,” the statement said.
