That’s right, Aerosmith and Yungblud have recorded with Steve Martin. The artists recently released a single called “My Only Angel”, from their upcoming EP “One More Time”, which will be out next November 21. Now, they released a “desert road version” of that song featuring the famous actor, comedian and musician who plays the banjo in it.
Although the official video shows Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Yungblud, Martin doesn’t appear in it. But he posted on his social media a text exchange showing how Tyler invited him to be part of that song.
Aerosmith and Yungblud releases new version of “My Only Angel” feat. Steve Martin
The British Pop star Yungblud recently performed at the VMA’s with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, when they paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. Although the promotional photos only show the two musicians with Yungblud, Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton were also part of the sessions to record this particular track. The former Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver member Matt Sorum played the drums. The complete EP will be released next November 21.
Lyrics
Would you cry
If I called you, my angel?
Gotta leave, gotta leave, gotta leave you
One more time
My pretty little poison
I’ll taste you in the morning
And drink you in the evening
Then we’ll go out stealin’
I won’t rest till I find you
I won’t rest till I light you
One last time
Take it when you want it
Never when you need it
Said you want a show girl
Call you from the road girl
Need a bit of lovin’
Tell me all your problems
One last time
Would you cry
If I called you, my angel?
Gotta leave, gotta leave, gotta leave you
One more time
Could you fly?
My only angel
Gotta leave, gotta leave, gotta leave
Far behind
You say you wanna keep me
Round your little finger
But baby I’m a runner
Baby I’m a gunner
I don’t know where you’ll find me
But I hope that you’ll find me one last time
Along a desert road
I tried to let you go
I had to face the facts
That I should let you know
That after all this time
The show will still go on
But I need a little something
To remember you by
Would you cry
If I called you, my angel?
Gotta leave, gotta leave, gotta leave you
One more time
Could you fly?
My only angel
Gotta leave, gotta leave, gotta leave you
Far behind
