Lynyrd Skynyrd cancels South American tour due vocalist’s daughter illness

Lynyrd Skynyrd reported on his official Facebook account that they canceled the participation in the Solid Rock Tour with Deep Purple and Tesla.

The band reports in the post that the daughter of Johnny Van Zant has been diagnosed with acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL) and will be under intensive treatment, with this her father will spend the following months beside her.

Lynyrd Skynyrd apologized to fans in South America with a promise that they will return in the future. Cheap Trick will be the substitute band for the tour with Deep Purple and Tesla.
