The band led by Tobias Forge already shared the first single, that is a cover of the Genesis song “Jesus He Knows Me”, that was composed as a critic to TV evangelists.

The complete EP will be out next May 18th.

Phantomine tracklist

  1. See No Evil (Television)
  2. Jesus He Knows Me (Genesis)
  3. Hanging Around (The Stranglers)
  4. Phantom Of The Opera (Iron Maiden)
  5. We Don’t Need Another Hero (Thunderdome) (Tina Turner)

Forge told NME that the band had also covered songs by Rush, Misfits, U2 and Motörhead that could be released in the future.

“Originally the selection was a little bit more eclectic. Look, I’m not going into great detail about them, because we might use some of them at a later point. But, it was basically like a piano version of a Motörhead song.”

“There was [also] a Misfits song that was really cool and a U2 track. We recorded it all. In fact, we did a really finished demo of Rush’s ‘Distant Early Warning’, and then after ‘Impera’ I was just like, ‘I want to do a rock EP. A pure rock EP!’”

I'm a Brazilian journalist who always loved Classic Rock and Heavy Metal music. That passion inspired me to create Rock and Roll Garage over 6 years ago. Music has always been a part of my life, helping me through tough times and being a support to celebrate the good ones. When I became a journalist, I knew I wanted to write about my passions. After graduating in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, I pursued a postgraduate degree in digital communication at the same institution. The studies and experience in the field helped me improve the website and always bring the best of classic rock to the world! MTB: 0021377/MG
