The First Dave Mustaine photos after cancer treatment were revealed on Megadeth social networks. In June 2019, the frontman announced that he would take a break from his work with the group to treat cancer. He was diagnosed with a lump in his throat and spent most of the year undergoing treatment.
In October, Mustaine announced that he had finished his treatment, saying he was still ready to return to the stage with the band. The official announcement, however, only came this January.

In addition, on Instagram, Dave Mustaine posted a photo, in which his white beard stands out and said: “I’m back”.
The return to the stage will happen this January. Megadeth has a tour scheduled with Five Finger Death Punch. The expectation is that Mustaine will lead the band for this year’s commitments across European territory. It is a very heavy sequence: 21 dates. After that, there are still no tour dates scheduled for the band.
