Danzig announce tour that will celebrate his solo debut album

The Misfits vocalist Glenn Danzig announced 14 tour dates that will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the release of his self-titled debut album. All the tracks from the classic 1988 album will be performed.

They are: “Twist of Cain”, “Not of This World, “She Rides”, “Soul on Fire”, “Am I Demon”, “Mother”, “Possession”, “End of Time”, “The Hunter” (Albert King cover) and “Evil Thing”.

But before the tour to celebrate the record starts in August, the musician has two dates in Europe this June.

“Dazing” was produced by the famous Rick Rubin and was the first album that was released via his new label at the time Def American Records. It’s the band’s best-selling album and it was certified gold in the United States in 1994, six years after the release. Besides Glenn, the band also had at the time the bassist Eerie Von, guitarist John Christ, drummer Chuck Biscuits and the Metallica frontman James Hetfield recorded backing vocals for the tracks “Twist Of Cain” and “Possession”.

The biggest hit of the record is the track “Mother” that reached number 17 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and number 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
